Illegal Aliens and Squatters' "Rights"
“NYC Homeowners Told They Will Be Arrested If They Turn Off Electricity, Water As Squatters Take Over.” This was a recent story on Townhall and it underscores once again how far America has fallen from the rule of law.
In summary, the story talks about how squatters, many of them illegal aliens, are staying rent-free in properties while the owners are unable to evict them due to New York City laws. The homeowners are forced to pay utilities while the squatters remain in the home. When asked why he doesn’t evict the squatters, one homeowner said he’d be “arrested instantly.”
The American people are being destroyed with each such incident, yet there seems to be no relief in sight. Our government has been weaponized against us and it looks as though nothing can be done. Thankfully, it’s not that bad everywhere. But how long until this evil finds its way to a neighborhood near you or me?
After reading through the Townhall story, I was reminded of a passage in Deuteronomy. It reads, “The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail” (Deut. 28:44).
Can anyone seriously argue that this passage does not apply to the United States of America in the Year of Our Lord 2024?
The costs of the illegal alien invasion initiated by the Biden Regime at the behest of the Vatican Antichrist are staggering, estimated to be hundreds of billions of dollars. Great American cities are being turned into third-world favelas, costs are being dumped on the shoulders of the American people, while illegal aliens commit heinous crimes against citizens and are showered with fabulous cash and prizes in the form of government welfare. Does this not sound a lot like Deuteronomy 28:44?
The prophet Isaiah lived at a time when the prophecy of Deuteronomy was being fulfilled. In the first chapter of his book, he wrote, “Your land, strangers devour it in your presence.” This quote is from the King James Version. I use it because of all translations it best captures the force of what Isaiah wrote. “Your land” is not the way a writer normally would begin a Hebrew (or English) sentence. In this case, Isaiah put “Your land” in the emphatic first position as a way of highlighting the monstrosity of what was taking plan. The promised land, the land given by God himself to the Israelites was being stolen from them. And not only that, but it was also being stolen from them “in their presence” or “in their faces” as we might put it today. In other words, the thieves were so bold as to add insult to injury.
And why was this disaster taking place? It was because of the disobedience of the people of Judah, just as God had warned through Moses centuries earlier in the passage quoted above from Deuteronomy.
Is it possible that Americans are being brought into subjugation to foreigners for the same reason Judah’s land was being devoured in the presence of its people? Is it possible that Americans need to repent and seek the Lord’s face and that perhaps in doing so the impending disaster may be averted?
It’s certainly something to think about.
